Could you/would you please, please provide me with your Grandmother's Grape Marlow recipe?

I've searched for a recipe for this for a LOT of years.

Thanks, Koka

What a wonderful book to have! I've been going through my mother and aunt's old recipes: there also is an amazing number of cakes and 'desserts'. I suppose one needed recipes for those but not for 'cooking'.

Pop-pop *was* a great cook but I don't remember a chocolate cake. He was more likely to steam shrimp in beer, make his own sausages or grill shad for 40 guests.

I am a first-time visitor (and not really a foodie), but I love this post. What an absolute treasure to have this from your grandmother! Who knows you might bring back Marlows (do you suppose it makes a sort of pudding?). Kay T

Did Ellis's father ever serve Lou Linter's cake at Christmas eve dinner at the farm in Yellow House? From what Don and Mimi have told me, he was quite an accomplished cook as well. Great piece. Happy Valentine's Day!:)

Wow! That's so amazing how she and Ellis have the same handwriting. And it looks a bit like yours too. What a nice piece of family history.
