Just finished her book and loved it as you did: the translation of the Venice menu, with the coffee mixer, had us all twisted with laughter. And I love your soup comment: yes, I wanted just to sit and finish the book rather than get up and cook. If you'd like to read my blog, let me know and I'll invite you as it's password protected.
